Supporters of former President Donald Trump are building his impeachment trial into a battle for the soul of the Republican Party and the first shots in the 2024 White House race.
His legal team outlined its strategy on Wednesday, arguing it is unconstitutional for the Senate to convict a former president and that his speech at a Jan. 6 rally in Washington did not directly cause the deadly assault on the United States Capitol later that day.
But it also left open the possibility of revisiting Trump’s unfounded claims that he won the November election.
The possibility of the Senate trial to feature, at least in part, the Trump legal team repeating its client’s unproven stolen election claims leaves one section of his allies hoping the former president seizes an opportunity to use the proceedings to defend his political movement and begin preparing for a return to power.
John Fredericks, a conservative radio host and confidant of “America First” strategist Steve Bannon, said Democrats were motivated by political considerations and that Trump should mount a political defense based on election fraud, not a “namby-pamby” legalistic play.
“Democrats are doing this for one reason: destroy President Trump, destroy his ability to lead the movement, to run again in the future, to discredit his movement’s followers, and shame them into silence,” he said. “The defense of unconstitutionality or the First Amendment doesn’t cut it.”
Democratic impeachment managers outlined their case on Tuesday morning, saying Trump aimed his supporters “like a loaded cannon” at the Capitol and accusing him of inciting an insurrection.
Despite the greatest efforts of the fake news media and their phony pollster compatriots, Trump is now back on a steely pathway to win re-election.
President Trump currently has 214 Electoral votes awarded. The final count will be Trump 285. Here is the breakdown: North Carolina-15, Georgia-16, Pennsylvania-20, Arizona-11, Nevada-6, Alaska-4.
Meanwhile, Democrats are pushing to count late ballots because they are worried about Trump’s margins. The Trump campaign legal team is fighting to ensure that all legal ballots – and only legal ballots – are counted. Here is our analysis to get Trump to 285:
Pathway to victory in Pennsylvania:
- There are more than a million ballots left to be counted, including roughly 300,000 in Philadelphia.
- Using extremely conservative estimates, even if President Trump receives just 5% of ballots in Philadelphia and 30% of other remaining ballots, the President still wins Pennsylvania by 40,000 votes.
- We are confident in winning because many of these absentee ballots are from conservative counties:
- There are 54,000 ballots left to be counted in Cumberland County.
- There are 40,000 ballots left to be counted in Westmoreland County – a county where President Trump won 69 percent of the vote yesterday.
- There are 20,000 ballots left to be counted in Franklin County – a county where President Trump won more than 82 percent of the vote yesterday.
- There are 20,000 ballots left to be counted in Beaver County.
- We also believe that we will win more than 5 percent of ballots in Philadelphia County because of the President’s inroads with Black and Hispanic voters.
- We expect Trump to over-perform historical GOP margins among minority voters by 2-5 percent.
Pathway to victory in Arizona:
- A final batch of mail-in ballots is still being counted, with the latest arriving ballots counted last.
- We believe that over a half-million votes remain to be counted.
- We expect Trump to win between 66 percent and 70 percent of these ballots.
- We expect Trump to win Arizona by 30,000 votes.
- Arizona will join the President’s column at day’s end.
- Last night alone, we won 62 percent of the 80,000 Election Day votes that came into Maricopa County – we expect this margin to be higher in the rest of the state.
Pathway to victory in Nevada:
- Late-breaking mail-in-votes will help Trump.
- We believe that once all legal ballots are counted, Trump will win Nevada by 5,500 votes
Pathway to victory in Georgia:
- President Trump has built an insurmountable lead that the Democrats cannot beat.
- Trump leads by over 100,000 votes. Georgia should have been called last night. Fake news.
Pathway to victory in North Carolina:
- President Trump has built an insurmountable lead that the Democrats cannot beat.
- Trump leads by over 76,000 votes. North Carolina should have been called last night.
Del. Nick Freitas, R-Culpeper, is running for Virginia’s seventh Congressional district in an attempt to unseat Democratic Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger.
In an announcement on the John Fredericks Show, Freitas said that Spanberger campaigned as a moderate, but has consistently voted in line with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic leadership.
“I don’t think that’s what the Seventh District was expecting when they voted her in in the first place and I think it’s time that we need to take back the Seventh District for a conservative voice,” Freitas said.
The campaign released a video in which Freitas touted his military experience and said the nation is at a crossroads and needs someone courageous in Congress. Freitas has generally received support from the libertarian wing of the Republican Party because of his support for occupational licensing reform, criminal justice reform, and non-interventionist military policies.

Nick Freitas Announces Candidacy in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District
A former Green Beret and decorated combat veteran, Nick Freitas is running to be a conservative voice in the 7th
Culpeper, VA – This morning, Republican Nick Freitas, a former Green Beret combat veteran, announced his candidacy to take on freshman Democrat Abigail Spanberger in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District.
With the announcement, Nick Freitas stated the following:
“When I got out of the military, it was because the problems we are facing aren’t military problems anymore, the problems we are facing are political problems. I was raised with a belief that you go to where the fight is and right now the fight is in Washington D.C.
“We need leaders in Washington with the courage to stand up for the founding principles and constitutional rights that have allowed our country to be great. The 7th District deserves a conservative representative who will work to get things done rather than focusing on the impeachment circus.”

Ukrainian whistle-blower hoax exposed by official transcript release of Trump-Zelenskyy convo. Read it here.
The lying fake-news legacy media does it again.
Washington, D.C. —- The D.C. media feeding frenzy provided the catalyst for a ridiculous impromptu press conference by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who called for impeachment hearings on Monday, out of fear of more primary knock-offs from the ultra-leftist “Squad” wing of her caucus. In the meantime, high profile House Democrats just buried themselves in 2020.
Sucked down the social justice warrior rabbit hole, self-proclaimed moderate Reps. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA/7) and Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA/2) drank the equivalent of Jim Jones political suicide Kool-Aid by signing on to a Washington Post Op-Ed calling for an impeachment inquiry into President Trump over his alleged quid-pro-quo with a foreign leader.
So much for independent thinking. Both freshman legislators publicly endorsed an impeachment inquiry based on rumor and phony news reporting.
Problem is, it turned out to be false. Again. In fact, its Quid-Pro-Joe.
Spanberger and Luria represent districts Trump carried in 2016.
HAIR ON FIRE
The entire hair on fire episode commenced with a bogus story from a Washington whistle-blower who heard about a conversation President Trump supposedly had with newly-elected President Zelenskyy of Ukraine.
As it turns out, the whistle-blower had no first-hand knowledge of the classified discussion. In fact, he or she only heard about it third-hand from what could have been mere lunchroom gossip and innuendo.
The fake-news purveyors in D.C. – many of whom are ideologically driven opinion activists masquerading as journalists – took another massive credibility hit in rushing to craft a false narrative they didn’t feel was necessary to verify.
It was full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes. Who needs pesky supportive facts when they could smear Trump with another fictitious outrage rush to judgment?
The counterfeit news-fakers have lurched from phony collusion to false Kavanaugh accusations, to a make-believe recession, to unfounded charges of racism, to the now-debunked Ukrainian fairy-tale. All in a matter of months. What’s next?
The American legacy news media is in a credibility free fall of epic proportions. Who believes them?
Let’s take a crack at real reporting: Press reports have given currency to flat-out falsehoods about the phone call.
The now released call transcript clearly shows there was no quid pro quo or anything else inappropriate about the conversation between President Trump and President Zelenskyy.
Fake News Myth 1: The President made a mysterious “promise” to Zelenskyy in return for Ukraine reopening an investigation related to Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
- There was no such promise. The President wanted allegations of corruption, potentially involving an American official, to be investigated.
Fake News Myth 2: The President offered a “quid pro quo” related to military aid for Ukraine.
- There was no quid pro quo; in fact, there is no mention of the aid package to Ukraine at all.
Fake News Myth 3: The President urged President Zelenskyy to work with Rudy Giuliani to investigate Biden’s involvement in the firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor eight times.
- The President mentioned Rudy Giuliani only after Zelenskyy mentioned him first and referred to Biden in only one exchange.
In fact, what the President actually talked about was entirely proper.
President Trump asked President Zelenskyy to investigate any connection between Ukraine and attempts to interfere with the 2016 election, something he has publicly discussed in the past.
It is entirely appropriate for the President to ask a foreign leader to investigate any connection between his country and attempted interference in the 2016 election.
President Trump did not mention Rudy Giuliani or Vice President Biden until after President Zelenskyy brought up Giuliani’s name first. Only then did the President ask Zelenskyy to speak to Giuliani regarding corruption issues, and Vice President Biden’s role in the firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor.
The prosecutor had been investigating a Ukrainian bankrolled oil and gas company that had Biden’s son on its board of directors at a fee of $50,000 U.S. per month, for a total payout of $3.5 million. Hunter Biden had no experience in energy policy, had never been to Ukraine or the region, and had no knowledge of its competitors or business operations.
- When a high-ranking U.S. government official, like then Vice-President Biden, brags on tape that he used his official position to derail an investigation in another country that could have impacted his son, it is appropriate for the President to suggest that the matter be looked into and investigated. Biden said he would hold up $1.1 billion in U.S. guaranteed loans until the prosecutor was fired and he had only “six hours before my plane leaves.”
The real scandal here is that leaks about a second-hand account of the President’s confidential telephone call with a foreign leader triggered a media three-ring circus of false accusations against Trump and forced the President to release the full five-page transcript.
Let’s be clear, there was no quid pro quo for Ukraine to get U.S. aid in exchange for looking into Biden or his son.
Assistance to Ukraine was mentioned by President Trump only to stress how much the United States is doing and how other countries, like Germany, need to do their fair share. The fake news took this out of context, as usual.
In context, the President has said repeatedly that he wants other countries to be pitching in more to help Ukraine — and President Zelenskyy agreed with him.
FACTS ARE DANGEROUS TO THE FAKE NEWSERS
After Secretary of State Mike Pompeo talked with the government of Ukraine, the President decided to release the transcript of his telephone conversation to end the wild speculation and to set the record straight.
Trump has said he believes his private conversations with world leaders should be kept confidential and says he made this exception in the interest of transparency because of the amount of misinformation being spread in the legacy press.
ABUSE OF WHISTLEBLOWER LAW – HANDLED BY THE BOOK
The idea that someone can hear a second-hand account of a confidential conversation and use it in a complaint to start a partisan investigation fundamentally undermines the office of President.
This complaint was handled absolutely by the book and it was properly determined that no further action should be taken.
After receiving the complaint from the ICIG (Inspector General of the Intelligence Community) the DNI (Director of National intelligence) appropriately consulted with the Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) at the Department of Justice.
OLC determined that this complaint did not fall within the scope of the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act, and, therefore, that the DNI was not required to send the complaint to the intelligence committees.
The DNI did not forward the complaint because it implicated significant, constitutionally based Executive Branch confidentiality interests, and there was no applicable statutory requirement.
While the DNI determined that the complaint should not be sent to Congress, that did not end the review of the complaint. To the contrary, the complaint was given to DOJ for appropriate review.
DOJ officials reviewed the complaint in light of the legal issues identified by the ICIG in his cover letter to the DNI and determined that no further action was warranted.
Tragically, this case just shows another example of the “Deep State,” the concocted media, and Democrats in Congress damaging our national security by leaking confidential information in an attempt to seek political gain.
The deputy director of the FBI already has criminal referrals to the Department of Justice.”
In a blockbuster interview on The John Fredericks Show, former Trump for President campaign manager and best selling author Corey Lewandowski predicted that several former U.S. Justice Department officials will be doing prison time when the “investigation of the investigators” in the Russian collusion hoax is complete.
“When we get that [final reports] we’re going to see that these people broke the law, went after a candidate for office because they didn’t like his politics, and those people are going to be held accountable, and I sure hope and I think it’s going to be the case that they go to jail, for spying on Americans on domestic soil,” Lewandowski said.
“I believe the recommendations [of John Durham] will completely align with Inspector General Horowitz when they say that these people broke the law, spied on Americans, did so for their own political benefit, lied on FISA applications, and now they are getting very scared. This is investigating the investigators because we know the American people know these people broke the law, and Attorney General Barr is going to bring them to justice,” Lewandowski predicted.
Below are key interview excerpts:
John: Corey, Attorney General William Barr named John H. Durham, the U.S. attorney from the District of Connecticut, to investigate the investigators in the Russian collusion witch-hunt. What do make of it?
Corey: John, this is so important for the American people to get somebody to look at what the genesis of the Russia investigation hoax was all about. And so now that Attorney General Barr has named somebody to look into this we’re going to find out something that I believe Attorney General Barr already knows, and I believe Inspector General Horowitz already knows, was that this whole Russia collusion investigation was a complete hoax.
It was a fake charge that was designed just to go after Donald Trump, and because I believe that the attorney general doesn’t want the scrutiny that is going to come with this, he has now appointed a neutral unbiased individual who is going to have the opportunity to look at this from the outside … As they say in dragnet, just the facts ma’am.
And when we get that we’re going to see that these people broke the law, went after a candidate for office because they didn’t like their politics, and those people are going to be held accountable, and I sure hope and I think it’s going to be the case that they go to jail, for spying on Americans on domestic soil.
I believe the recommendations [of John Durham] will completely align with Inspector General Horowitz when they say that these people broke the law, spied on Americans, did so for their own political benefit, lied on FISA applications, and now they are getting very scared. This is investigating the investigators because we know the American people know these people broke the law, and Attorney General Barr is going to bring them to justice.
Look, it’s very simple, and it’s the same process that you or I would go through if we weren’t criminals like these people are, which is the investigation has been launched. They are looking for clear evidence of violations of the law. They will find those. And just because you are a government employee, and just because you are the deputy director of the FBI or the general counsel of the FBI does not make you immune from prosecution, and that means that you will be accountable, just like everyone else will be accountable. And that means that these individuals are going to jail.
PERP WALKS COMING
Corey: John, I know it’s a bold statement. I understand your readers and your listeners are saying, hey, Corey Lewandowski is off his rocker today.
But let me tell you this: the deputy director of the FBI already has criminal referrals to the Department of Justice.
The Department of Justice wanted to wait until the Mueller report was finalized. That’s now done. And I believe that the number two person who served as our deputy director of the FBI is going to go to jail for a long time.
And I’m not talking a day or two, I’m talking years for the crimes that he committed, for the information that he leaked, for the stories that he started, for the FBI warrants that he signed off on, for the FISA abuses that he participated in.
BIRDS OF A FEATHER GO TO JAIL TOGETHER
Andy McCabe and others; Peter Strzok, Jim Baker, Bruce Ohr, they are all going to jail and it will be a vindication for the Trump campaign, for the President, for myself and my friends who were spied upon, to say that nobody is above the law and its high time that these people are held accountable.
John: Well not only that, the investigation, and the being spied upon, but then like you said a couple of weeks ago Corey the fact that you and many of your colleagues were drug into hearings with subpoenas that went on for days and hours. I had Dave Bossie on the other day and he said it cost Corey Lewandowski’s family $500,000.
Corey: I participated in the election because I wanted to, but the financial constraints that this government has placed on me and my family, which…would have paid for my children to go to college–is gone because of what they’ve done to me.
And you know I’m not Donald Trump, I’m not worth billions of dollars a month. I’m a working-class blue-collar guy who had the opportunity to be on an amazing journey because I believed, and still do, that Donald Trump is the best President and best candidate for the future of our country.
But they abuse their power in the government. They went after me. They went after so many other people.
And John, you know I am not a fan of Paul Manafort, I am not a fan of Roger Stone, but those guys had the full weight of the federal government on them. Paul went into solitary confinement. Roger Stone had a no knock warrant executed against him…I just think it’s wrong and we deserve better as the American people.
If you told me this was taking place in some Mickey Mouse country, then I would say hey maybe that’s the case, but not here in this country. That’s what’s happened and now it’s time…I’m a Star Wars fan and the second movie the Star Wars trilogy was The Empire Strikes Back. I’m calling this the President strikes back.
Corey: Adam Schiff is still trying to threaten people with $25,000 a day in fines if they don’t follow the subpoenas, and North Carolina Senator Burr brought back Donald Trump,Jr. to listen to more testimony that he he’s already provided on multiple occasions.
Its time to put this behind us. Stop going after these innocent people, and instead hold people who broke the law for their own edification because they didn’t like Donald Trump, because they wanted to see Hillary Clinton to win, accountable. The American people deserve that.
THE COMEY CLOWN SHOW
John: Rod Rosenstein…just came out distancing himself from James Comey…
Corey: You know, it was very interesting John, Rod’s speech [Monday] highlighted that he believes, in my opinion, that Jim Comey broke the law and that above all else he wants to hold people accountable. And look I’m not a fan of Rod Rosenstein.
I don’t think he handled the Mueller investigation well, I think as Jeff Sessions number two at the Department of Justice there were a number of things, and I’m not an attorney, that I would have done differently. I believe that the new number two is going to be sworn in as early as tomorrow, which is long overdue. But the one thing that we heard from Rod Rosenstein when he gave that the commencement speech was the final ultimatum. That Jim Comey is not a truthful person, that he is dishonest.
And don’t forget Jim Comey’s immediate supervisor: he directly reported to Rod Rosenstein, and Rosenstein oversaw this investigation.
He is a man who Jim had to talk to on a regular basis. And basically, what Rod said–and I said this many times–Jim Comey has a massive messiah complex. He believes he is the final arbiter when it comes to information and decisions, and Rod Rosenstein went out to chastise this individual and this is a person who he worked with if not on an hourly basis, clearly on a daily basis and has known for a long, long time.
And don’t forget your listeners may or may not remember this, Jim Comey previously served as a deputy attorney general, the number two person at the Department of Justice which is the very position that Rod Rosenstein held in the Trump administration.
So, he knew Jim Comey. Jim Comey knew Rod Rosenstein in the position that he held the responsibility that entailed.
And Rod Rosenstein went out to light this clown up because that’s what Jim Comey is.
He’s a clown.
He was on CNN just last week talking about things to sell his book one more time.
He has no compunction whatsoever about making stories up and trying to justify in his own mind, even though we all know, your listeners know, I know, you know, Jim Comey broke the law time and time again for his own benefit, and went after Donald Trump because he didn’t like his politics.
Jim Comey has had a political agenda from day one and the detriment that he has caused to the FBI will be felt for literally a generation.
People now know Comey: for crimes that they [FBI] were spying on the President of the United States. That is what transpired. Don’t let anybody say otherwise.
Yes, they spied on me.
Yes, they spied on our campaign.
They spied on the President of the United States because they didn’t want to see him be elected. They didn’t want to see him serve this country. And if that is not a crime, then I have no idea what is anymore.
GRAHAM GOING TO ROBERTS
Corey: I met with Lindsey Graham, Senator from South Carolina, last week to talk about this and he was going to–because he was the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, one of the most powerful positions in all of Washington D.C. He told me very candidly he was going to meet with [Justice] John Roberts, who is the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, to say we can never allow this to happen again.
Whether it requires legislation, whether requires administrative changes. We don’t know if Rod Rosenstein knew the truth. What we do know is that the final FISA warrant, the final FISA application was signed after Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, we said we want to continue to listen to conversations and spy on domestic soil on people who are at the highest levels of the government.
If that is not illegal, if that is not a crime, then nothing is.
That’s big brother at its worst, and we, the American people deserve better, and those people deserve to be in jail.
Forget the truth. It’s the narrative, stupid.
The legacy media debacle, ignited by the empty Robert Mueller report, is the beginning of the end for the fake news bunch.
Desperate for a morsel of hope in keeping their clickbait fresh, and to avoid any direct comeuppance for the lies they told on national television, the fake-newsers are now peddling a bizarre Attorney General Robert Barr coverup scheme.
The outcome, as reported by Barr in a summary letter to Congress, was a shock to the partisan media hacks who spent the past two years publishing unsubstantiated reports, trafficking in rumors, promoting wild Russian asset conspiracy theories, propagating pure speculation masquerading as analysis and pushing claims from anonymous sources in order to construct a fictional narrative designed to overturn the result of the 2016 election. Or excuse it.
The Trump-Russian collusion cable television hoaxers pushed a story with no direct evidence based on a fake dossier for two years. The gamble was an easy way to explain away Trump’s victory.
While they ramped up a narrative based on wild conspiracy theories, they drove fresh advertising dollars by increasing web-clicks and viewers who wanted desperately to believe them.
Many of the complicit elected officials are now red-faced and in media seclusion. Ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) is one of the biggest culprits, and he’s nowhere to be found these days.
Warner went on the Sunday show circuit week after week and assured us he had evidence of collusion, and that more was coming soon. When he broke with Intel Chairman Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), who said he had seen nothing and bailed, Warner claimed he had alternative facts.
None came. For those of us who took Warner seriously, where’s the beef—or the apology?
The legacy media propagandizers, desperate for their phony Trump-collusion narrative to be pushed out at all costs, are now eating their own.
For the last two years, the legacy media promulgated a blatant lie about President Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia — but in order to keep the charade going, they had to make sure that their audiences weren’t exposed to conflicting viewpoints.
Remarkably, this big lie is not the end of the story. It’s the beginning.
Multiple journalists and media commentators have alleged that not only did major media outlets selectively emphasize coverage that fit their collusion narrative, they actively suppressed skeptical and dissenting voices—from the left!
The left-leaning journalist Glenn Greenwald, for instance, recently claimed that he and several other commentators were banned by MSNBC because they questioned the network’s collusion coverage.
“There was a whole slew, not just me, of left-wing journalists with very high journalistic credentials, far more than anyone on that network, like Matt Taibbi and Jeremy Scahill and many others … who were banned from the network because they wanted their audience not to know that anybody was questioning or expressing skepticism about the lies and the scam they were selling because it was so profitable,” Greenwald said.
According to Greenwald, MSNBC’s obsession with the Russian hoax was motivated by the network’s long-standing failure to attract viewers — a problem it solved by airing sensationalist reports about the collusion scandal.
“The whole network was about to collapse,” he maintained. “This whole scam saved them. Not only did they constantly feed people for three straight years total disinformation, they did it on purpose.”
Another well-known liberal, the prominent legal scholar Alan Dershowitz, also claimed that he was banned from appearing on CNN — a network that often claims to be nonpartisan and objective.
“I have been right from day one, and almost all the other pundits and professors have just been dead wrong,” he said in a recent interview. “CNN banned me from their air because I was being too fair. I was trying to assess what the essential issue was, and I wasn’t being partisan. They didn’t want that.”
Banning credible experts from sharing views that do not fit a preordained, partisan script is one of the most insidious tactics of the biased media — unlike factual errors, which are at least subject to public scrutiny, media booking decisions are made behind the scenes, making it nearly impossible to know how widespread this sort of covert censorship really was.
Now that Robert Mueller has debunked the collusion hoax and proved that Greenwald and Dershowitz were right all along, it’s clear that blacklisting insightful criticism of the witch hunt was the only way they could keep their audiences from figuring out the truth.
